Maryland’s Theme and Water Parks
Jolly Roger Amusement Parks is located in Ocean City and has five different parks: Splash Mountain Water Park, Jolly Roger at the Pier, Jolly Roger at 30th Street, Speedworld, and Jolly Roger mini golf.
Splash Mountain Water Park is the area’s largest water park and features 16 attractions including a water coaster, slides, a raft ride, kids pools, and more. One of the most popular rides at this water park is the “Master Blaster” water roller coaster that goes uphill.
Jolly Roger at the Pier features amusement park rides including a roller coaster, a Ferris wheel, a slingshot, spinning rides, and more. One of the most popular rides is “Kraken,” a scary ride that embodies the sea creature.
Jolly Roger at 30th Street features a giant wheel, carousel, tea cups, bumper cars, swings, a slide, and more. One of the most popular rides is the “Wild Cat,” a small roller coaster.
Speedworld is the largest go-karting facility on the East Coast and has 10 different tracks. For younger children, it has “Kiddie Carts.”
Jolly Roger Mini Golf features two mini golf courses: Treasure Golf and Jungle Golf.
Six Flags America is located in Upper Marlboro and features roller coasters, go-karts, a carousel, thrill rides, and more. One of the most popular rides is “Wild One,” a wooden roller coaster that is 4,000 feet long.
Hurricane Harbor is included with admission to Six Flags America. This water park features one of the world’s largest wave pools, slides, a lazy river, and more. One of the most popular attractions is the “Tornado,” a raft ride that has a 132-foot tunnel.
This family entertainment center is located in New Market and features indoor and outdoor attractions. The indoor attractions include an arcade, a ropes course, bumper cars, laser tag, and more. The outdoor attractions include small roller coasters, spinning rides, mini golf, and more.
