Massachusetts’ Water and Theme Parks

Massachusetts is home to many amusement parks and water parks, including a Six Flags park. It is also home to Water Wizz, an outdoor water park where two major movies were filmed. Six Flags New England and Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags New England is located in Agawam and features over 100 attractions including roller coasters, swing rides, kid rides, and more. This park is home to the tallest swing ride in the world, the “New England SkyScreamer.” One of the most popular rides is “Superman The Ride,” a roller coaster that has a 20-story drop.

Hurricane Harbor is the waterpark in Six Flags New England and included with admission. This water park features a lazy river, slides, a wave pool, raft rides, kids play areas, and more. One of the most popular rides is the “Typhoon,” the world’s first ProSlide Rocket water coaster.

CoCo Key Water Resort Boston

Located in Danvers, this water resort features an adventure river, a play area, an outdoor splash pad, a zero-depth entry pool, and four raft slides. One of the most popular attractions is the “Dip-In Theatre,” a pool with kiddie slides and a big movie screen.

Water Wizz

This outdoor water park is located in Wareham and is advertised as “Southern New England’s Largest water park.” Two movies were filmed here: “The Way Way Back” and “Grown Ups.” It features a wave pool, a kids play area, water slides, a lazy river, and more.

Great Wolf Lodge New England

This indoor water park is part of the Great Wolf Lodge chain and is located in Fitchburg. It features body slides, tube slides, a lazy river, hot springs, kids play areas, and more. One of the most popular rides is the “Howlin’ Tornado,” a “six-story funnel of fun.” The indoor water park is open to resort guests only.

Edaville USA

This family theme park features three main attractions: Cran Central, Thomas Land, and Dino Land. Cran Central is an attraction that offers many rides for kids including bumper cars, a carousel, a Ferris wheel and more. Thomas Land is a Thomas the Tank Engine-theme attraction that has 11 rides for kids ages 12 and under. Dino Land is an attraction that features life-sized dinosaurs.
