Delaware’s Theme and Water Parks

Delaware is home to five theme or water parks and three of them are located in Rehoboth Beach. These outdoor parks are a great way to cool off this summer! You can learn more about the theme parks and water parks here.

Delaware’s Theme and Water Parks

Funland

Funland is located in Rehoboth Beach and is one of the country’s few free-admission amusement parks. The park features a small boardwalk, about 20 rides, games, an arcade, and a boardwalk. The park offers rides for younger kids, older kids, and thrill rides. The younger kid rides include a carousel, kid sized Ferris wheel, and boats. The older kid rides include “FreeFall,” a big kids slide called “Jungle,” and “Helicopters.” The thrill rides include “Haunted Mansion” and spinning rides including “Gravitron,” and “Superflip.”

Jungle Jim’s River Safari Water Park

Also located in Rehoboth Beach, this outdoor water park is Delaware’s largest water park. It features several giant water slides, along with a wave pool, bumper boats, a kid’s spray ground, a lazy river, an activity pool, and a kids pool. The most popular ride is the “Master Blaster,” an uphill water coaster.

Killens Pond State Water Park

Located in Felton in Killens Pond State Park, this small outdoor water park is geared toward families. It is home to water slides, a zero-depth entry swimming pool, a water playground, and more. This park also includes a sand volleyball court, concession stand, swim shop, and picnic tables. This park is only open in the warmer months and the pool only opens if the outside temperature is more than 70 degrees.

Viking Golf Family Park

This park is located on Fenwick Island and is on the shore outside of Ocean City, Maryland. It is geared toward families and offers an 18-hole mini golf course, a go-kart track, Thunder Lagoon Waterpark, and a boardwalk. The water park features a 400 foot lazy river, six slides, an activity pool and a kids pool.

White Water Mountain and Midway Speed Park

White Water Mountain is a water park that is geared toward families. It includes two pools, slides, and a lazy river. Midway Speed Park features go karting tracks, an 18 hole-mini golf course, a climbing wall, Water Walkers, bumper boats, and more.
