Adventureland and Adventure Bay

This is Iowa’s biggest amusement park and is in Altoona. It offers a wide selection of rides including three wooden roller coasters and two steel roller coasters. “The Monster” is one of the most popular roller coasters and reaches a speed of 65 mph. The other popular rides include “Outlaw,” “Tornado,” and “Space Shot.”

Adventure Bay is a water park that is part of Adventureland and included with admission. It features a wave pool, a lazy river, a raft ride, slides, and more.

Arnolds Park

This park is located in Arnolds Park and is a traditional amusement park. The park has free admission and visitors have to pay per ride. Its attractions include thrill rides, family rides, and kid rides. One of the most popular rides is the “Legend,” a wooden roller coaster that is the 13th oldest wooden roller coaster in the world.

Grand Harbor Water Park and Resort

Located in Dubuque, this indoor water park features a lazy river, body and tube slides, a water play structure, and whirlpool spas. It is Iowa’s first themed indoor water park.

Huck’s Harbor at Pzazz Resort Hotel

Located in Burlington, this small water park has both indoor and outdoor attractions. The indoor attractions include water slides, a water play structure, a lazy river, and a splash pad. The indoor water park features a channel river, swimming pool, kids play areas, and a hot tub.

King’s Pointe Water Park Resort

Located in Storm Lake, this small indoor and outdoor water park features a lazy river, two water slides, an activity pool, a splash pad, and a zero-depth entry pool. One of the most popular attractions is the Electric Eel, a raft ride that has visual and audio effects.

Lost Island

This outdoor water park is in Waterloo and features a Polynesian theme. It features a wave pool, lazy river, tube slides, raft rides, and more.

Boji Splash

This indoor water park is located at Bridges Bay Resort near Arnold Park. The water park features slides, a water play center, and a lazy river. The resort offers other activities including a zip line, outdoor pools, and dining and lodging.

The Beach Ottumwa

Located in Ottumwa, this small outdoor water park features an indoor pool that is open year-round, a wave pool, water slides, and sand volleyball.

Wasserbahn Water Park Resort

This indoor water park is located in Williamsburg and offers water slides, a water activity pool, wading pool, and a water play structure with multiple levels.
