Six Flags Great America
This theme park is located in Gurnee and is home to the “Goliath,” one of the ten fastest wooden roller coasters in the world with a top speed of 72 mph. The park features other thrill rides, family rides, kid rides, water park rides, and entertainment.
Hurricane Harbor is part of Six Flags Great America but there is an additional fee to get into this water park. This park features over 25 water slides, a wave pool, a surfing ride with simulated waves, a lazy river and more.
AZoosment Park at Santa’s Village
This park is located in East Dundee and features thrill rides, family classics, kid rides, animal attractions, and more. One of the most popular rides is “Xtreme Elevation,” a ride that drops you from 140 feet high back to the ground in three seconds.
Grady’s Family Fun Park
This family entertainment center is located in Bloomington and is home to rides, bumper cars, bumper boats, batting cages, mini golf, and go karts. The rides are divided into two categories: adult and kid. The adult rides are mostly spinning rides while the kids rides include a Ferris wheel, train, and slide.
Great Wolf Lodge
This park is a medium sized indoor water park located in Gurnee. It features a family raft ride, slides, a lazy river, and a water play structure. The park also offers mini golf, a climbing wall, an adventure park, an arcade, bowling, and a ropes course. The park is only available to hotel guests.
Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Falls Indoor Water Park
This indoor water park is located in Utica and features a wave pool, a hot tube, a lazy river, and America’s first sound adventure water slide. It also has an 18-hole mini golf course.
Knight’s Action and Splash Kingdom
Located in Springfield, this park is Central Illinois’ Largest Water and Amusement Park. Knight’s Action Park features mini golf, go-karts, a Ferris wheel, and an arcade. Splash Kingdom offers eight water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river.
Magic Waters
This water park is located in Cherry Valley and features a 707,000 gallon heated wave pool, body and tube slides, 1,200 foot long lazy river, and a five story interactive water play structure. Its most popular attraction is “Splash Blaster,” a two person water coaster.
Raging Rivers
This water park is located in Grafton and is geared toward families. It features a wave pool, lazy river, water slides, and attractions for kids.
Raging Waves Water Park
This water park is located in Yorkville. It is an outdoor park and it is geared toward families. It has many rides including a bowl ride, family raft ride, slides, a wave pool, and a play area for kids.
