Dorney Park
This amusement park is located in Allentown and features roller coasters, thrill rides, family rides, kid rides and more. One of the most popular rides is “Hydra,” which is known as “the first and only floorless roller coaster in Pennsylvania.” It has a 105-foot drop and goes upside down seven times. Wildwater Kingdom is the water park in Dorney Park and features two wave pools, two lazy rivers and water slides.
Conneaut Lake Park
This park is located in Conneaut Lake and features a roller coaster, train ride, bumper cars, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, spinning rides, and swing rides. The most popular attraction is “Blue Streak,” a wooden roller coaster that is ranked 5th in the US and 50th in the world. Blue Streak goes 77-feet high and is 2,900-feet long. Splash City Water Park features a water slide, kids play area, and a lazy river.
Hersheypark
This amusement park is located in Hershey and is one of the biggest in Pennsylvania. It has over 70 attractions including kids rides, roller coasters, thrill rides and more. One of the most popular rides is “Lightning Racer,” the “first wooden racing/dueling coaster in the US.” The water park features 17 attractions including slides, a surfing simulator and more.
Idlewild
This park is located in Ligonier and was named “Best Childrens’ Park” by Amusement Today. It features games, a Ferris wheel, a log ride, spinning rides and more. Soak Zone is a water park in Idlewild and has slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river.
Knoebels
This park is located in Elysburg and is advertised as “America’s largest Free-Admission Amusement Park.” It features roller coasters, thrill rides, kid rides, and family rides. One of the most popular rides is the “Twister,” a fast-paced wooden roller coaster. The park also has a pool with slides and a kiddie play area.
Camelbeach
This outdoor water park is located in Tannersville and features over 37 attractions including 22 water slides, a wave pool, a surfing simulator and more. The park is part of a resort that has zip lines, climbing, ropes courses and an indoor water park called “Aquatopia.”
Waldameer and Water World
This park is located in Erie and features over 100 attractions including roller coasters, water rides, kid rides and more. This park is home to “The Ravine Flyer II,” which is known as “the 8th Best Wooden Coaster in the World.” Water World features a wave pool, lazy river, slides and more.
