The Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor

This park is part of the Six Flags chain and is located in Queensbury. It features roller coasters, thrill rides, spinning rides, swing rides and more. One of the most popular rides is “Comet,” a roller coaster that has a 4,200-foot track and is over 90 years old.

Hurricane Harbor is the water park at The Great Escape and is included with admission. It features a lazy river, a wave pool, a kids play area, tube and body slides and more.

The Great Escape Lodge has a water park called White Water Bay. It is open year round to hotel guests. It features a lazy river, a surfing simulator, water slides and more.

Darien Lake and Splashtown

This amusement park is also part of the Six Flags chain and is located in Buffalo. It features roller coasters, thrill rides, family rides, and kids rides. One of the most popular attractions is the “Ride of Steel,” the tallest and fastest roller coaster in New York.

Splashtown is located next to Darien Lake and features lazy rivers, raft rides, speed slides, a wave pool and more.

Splish Splash

This water park is one of the biggest in the country and located in Riverhead. It features over 20 attractions including slides, a wave pool, lazy river, tube and raft rides and more.

Seabreeze Amusement Park and Raging Rivers

This Rochester park features over 70 attractions including thrill rides, family rides, kids rides and more. One of the most popular rides is “Jack Rabbit,” a roller coaster that is the oldest continuously operating roller coaster in America.

Raging Rivers is a water park that is included with admission. It features a raft ride, wave pool, mat racing, slides, and a lazy river.

Luna Park

This well-known amusement park is located on Coney Island in Brooklyn and features roller coasters, bumper cars, water rides and more. “Coney Island Cyclone,” a roller coaster that features 12 drops and 27 elevation changes, is one of the most popular attractions.

Playland Amusement Park

Located in Rye, this amusement park features thrill, family, and kids rides. “The Plunge” is a popular ride that has a 50-foot drop into a pool.

Adventureland

This amusement park is located in Farmingdale and features thrill rides, water rides, family rides, kids rides and other attractions. The attractions at this park are geared toward younger children and families.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari

This water and amusement park is located in Old Forge and is advertised as “New York’s Largest Water Theme Park with over 50 rides and attractions.” These attractions include a wave pool, water slides, a lazy river, a Ferris wheel, a carousel and more.
